QUIRINALE 3D VR is a project realized for the Presidency of the Italian Republic by the companies Digital Lighthouse and Geocart. It is high technology software for the virtual browsing in interactive and immersive mode of the Quirinale’s Main Floor (Piano Nobile). It is an innovative and revolutionary tool for the enhancement and promotion of the cultural heritage. The digital reconstruction of the rooms of the Main Floor was done thanks to high resolution laser scanners and cameras. The data obtained were processed with advanced techniques of computer graphics, producing a unique result with regard to the user’s involvement and experience.
